New Delhi: <\/strong> Harshita Jakhar of Rajasthan won two gold medals on the first day of Khelo India Youth Games 2025 Bihar’s cycling matches. 18 -year -old Harshita won 500 meter time trial and 7.5 km scratch race with dominance. Harshita, who won four medals in the 2025 Junior Track Asian Cycling Championships and made it to the target Asian Games Group, took out 38.631 seconds in 500 meter time trial and left behind Maharashtra’s Akanksha Mhatre (38.742) and Tamil Nadu’s S Thabitha (39.454).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the day, Harshita won the first gold medal in the 7.5 km scratch race with a time of 11: 50.973, beating Suhani Kumari of Bihar. Suhani won silver in 11: 51.558 and Mhatre won bronze in 11: 51.649. Harshita said after the medal distribution, “I am happy to win gold with my cousin Aditya Jakhar.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host Bihar opened a medal account by winning silver in Suhani Kumari’s 7.5 km scratch race and second silver in Team Sprint. The team consisted of Amrita Kumari, Shalini Kumari and Suhani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suhani (17) said, “It is a matter of pride for me to win two medals for Bihar on the first day. I am happy that I started our account. Our victory should inspire everyone. We have done good training and contestants are very good. Playing with them is a new experience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
