Buxar: District Magistrate, Buxar, Sahila conducted a surprise inspection of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya.
During inspection, the condition of cleanliness, painting of the school buildings, floors and walls, drinking water facilities, enrolment, and records related to the entry of visitors and students was found to be unsatisfactory. Taking note of the deficiencies, the District Magistrate directed the concerned official to seek an explanation regarding the matter.
With the objective of encouraging the students, the District Magistrate distributed pens and notebooks among them. She also wished them a bright future and provided them with positive suggestions and guidance regarding their studies and academic progress.
It is noteworthy that the students of this school are studying at +2 High School, Itarhi. There, the Superintendent of Police, Buxar, interacted with the students and sought detailed information from them on various subjects. They were also provided important information regarding cybercrime, safe use of social media, personal safety, education, and healthy living habits.
The students were advised to inform their teachers about any problem related to their education. In case of any personal problem, fear or intimidation, inducement, or any other difficulty, they were advised to inform their teachers and family members without hesitation. If the problem is not resolved, they were also advised to inform senior officials so that necessary assistance could be provided immediately.
The students were given detailed information about the helpline numbers Dial-112, 1098 and 1930. They were also encouraged to openly share information regarding child marriage and other problems. They were informed that necessary assistance would be provided immediately while keeping their identity confidential.
During the inspection, the Superintendent of Police, Buxar; Assistant Collector, Buxar; Officer on Special Duty, Buxar; Block Development Officer, Buxar, and other concerned officials were present.
