Buxar : A CBI operation at the Postal Department on Tuesday created a stir in Buxar. The CBI team took Buxar Superintendent of Post Offices Sarita Kumari, along with another employee, into its custody for questioning. Both were taken from the Head Post Office and reportedly questioned at the Circuit House. The entire operation was kept highly confidential.
Assistant Superintendent of Post Offices Pushpendra Kumar confirmed the action and said that the CBI had taken the Superintendent of Post Offices and another employee into its custody for questioning. He added that CBI officials had also asked him to come to the Circuit House with the relevant documents. According to him, the matter may be related to the postal division, but he currently does not have further information about it.
It is reported that the CBI team arrived in Buxar in a vehicle bearing a Delhi registration number. Following the operation at the Head Post Office, the officials took the Superintendent of Post Offices and another employee with them for questioning. The activities of the officials were kept confidential throughout the operation.
According to sources, the matter may be related to a complaint concerning financial transactions. However, the CBI has not yet made any detailed information public regarding the nature of the complaint or the allegations involved in the case.
CBI officials have indicated that details of the matter will be made public after the questioning and investigation are completed. For now, the action at the Postal Department has sparked discussions among employees as well as at the local level. All eyes are on what further action will be taken and what facts emerge during the investigation.
