Kota: Dr. Deepak Kumar Shrivastava, Nodal Officer for Public Libraries (Kota Region) and Divisional Librarian and Head of the Government Divisional Public Library Kota, has been awarded the prestigious Manju Mishra Smriti Global Public Librarian Excellence Award (M2SGPLEA)-2024. The award, presented by the Manju Mishra Smriti Sansthan (M2S2), Kota, recognizes his exceptional contributions to public librarianship in India.
Recognized as a Next Generation Librarian of India, Dr. Shrivastava was recently nominated as a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards for the revision of Public Library standards in India, further enhancing his influence on the development and modernization of library services across the nation.
The honor was conferred upon Dr. Shrivastava during the 78th Republic Day celebrations at the Dr. S.R. Ranganathan Conventional Hall, Government Divisional Public Library, Kota. The award was presented by M2S2 Chairperson, Kamalakant Sharma, in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Prabhat Singhal, Former Joint Director of DIPR, and President Raju Gupta, Former CEO of Fetherlite Group, Bangalore. Special guest Rajendra Kumar Jain, Former Assistant Registrar of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota, also graced the occasion.
Dr. Shrivastava’s efforts continue to set new benchmarks for global standards in public library services, ensuring the promotion of knowledge resources on an international level.
