Patna: There is a wave of happiness over the approval of Rs 87,81,43,400 from the state cabinet for the proposed music college in Dumraon in the name of world famous Shehnai maestro Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan. Researcher and writer Murli Manohar Srivastava, who has been working continuously on the life and music of Bismillah Khan for the last 35 years, has congratulated Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for this historic decision.
Murali Manohar Srivastava said that this decision will not only honor the legacy of Bismillah Khan but will also become a powerful center for the study and training of Indian classical music for the coming generations. He said that the establishment of a music college in Dumraon, which is the birthplace of Bismillah Khan, will give recognition to local artists and students at the national level.
Expressing gratitude towards Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said that this decision will further strengthen the cultural identity of Bihar and will prove to be a milestone for music lovers. Shri Murali has also written the book “Vikas Purush” on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar this year
