Buxar: In a major road accident, four people, including two women died on the spot while they were on their way to Buxar. The incident occurred on National Highway-84 near Chanda village, under the jurisdiction of Naya Bhojpur police station in Buxar district.
The deceased have been identified as Girija Devi, Manju Devi, Omkar Pandey, and Sujit Pandey. According to police sources, the car in which they were travelling got trapped between two trucks and was completely smashed, leading to the instant death of all four occupants.
Police said that two of the deceased were residents of Kritsagar village, while one was from Bharkhar Brahmpur. Soon after receiving information, the police reached the spot and took control of the situation.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the families of the deceased have been informed. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the area. Further investigation into the accident is underway.
