Buxar, August 31: A meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held on Monday at the conference hall of the Buxar Collectorate under the chairmanship of Buxar District Magistrate Sahila. The progress of various schemes and works being implemented by different departments was reviewed in detail, and officials were issued necessary directions.
Revenue Work Under Review
During the review of revenue-related work, the District Magistrate expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of expected progress in e-Mutation, despite repeated instructions.
The DM directed that show-cause notices be issued to the Circle Officers of Itarhi, Rajpur, Nawanagar, Chakkar, Chaugai, Chausa and Brahmpur, and ordered that their salaries be withheld until further orders. They were also directed to achieve the prescribed targets and show progress within one week.
During the review of Parimarjan Plus, progress in Buxar circle was found to be particularly slow. The Circle Officer, Buxar, was also ordered to face a show-cause notice and have their salary withheld until further orders for failing to make the expected progress despite earlier instructions.
The review of applications received under the Revenue Maha Abhiyan also revealed unsatisfactory progress. The Additional Collector, Buxar, was directed to submit proposals for action against Circle Officers found negligent in carrying out the work.
Directions on Panchayat Camps
During the review of Panchayat Development Day, officials reported that concerned officers were not attending the camps held on the last Sunday of every month. The District Magistrate directed the Deputy Development Commissioner, Buxar, to seek explanations from the absent officials and ensure 100% attendance of all concerned officers at future camps.
The Panchayat Cooperation Camps, held on the first and third Tuesday of every month, were also reviewed. It was found that inadequate publicity before the camps was preventing local residents from taking full advantage of them.
All nodal officers and Block Development Officers were therefore directed to ensure wide publicity among the public and local elected representatives before each camp.
Schools to Receive Basic Facilities and Renovation
During the review of the Education Department, the District Education Officer was directed to ensure that all schools have adequate cleanliness, drinking water, toilets and other basic facilities.
The DM also ordered that painting and whitewashing of school walls and classrooms be completed by Diwali. In addition, teacher-parent meetings must be held mandatorily on the last Saturday of every month.
Action Ordered Over Road Conditions Near Dumraon Hospital
The District Magistrate also reviewed the condition of the road leading to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Dumraon. During a recent inspection, bricks had been placed along the roadside for repair work, causing difficulties for vehicles and creating a potential accident hazard.
Despite earlier instructions to level the brickwork using a road roller, the work had not progressed as expected. The Sub-Divisional Officer, Dumraon, was therefore directed to initiate appropriate legal action against the concerned Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer.
Buxar Bypass Road to Be Repaired and Widened
Regarding the repair of the bypass road under Buxar Municipal Council, the Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department, Buxar, was directed to immediately level the road.
The official was also instructed to coordinate with the Forest Department, obtain the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) and complete the road-widening work.
Action on Encroachment Cases
With regard to orders passed in public grievance redressal cases concerning encroachments, the Sub-Divisional Officers of Buxar and Dumraon were directed to regularly review the matter with the concerned Circle Officers and ensure compliance with the orders.
Agriculture, Ganga Water Level and TB Campaign Reviewed
The District Agriculture Officer, Buxar, was directed to achieve the prescribed target for farmer registration.
In view of the rising water level of the Ganga, all Circle Officers and the Sub-Divisional Officers of Buxar and Dumraon were instructed to regularly monitor riverside areas and maintain necessary vigilance.
Under the TB-Free Campaign, the Sub-Divisional Officers of Buxar and Dumraon were directed to take necessary steps to ensure that food baskets are provided to all TB patients.
District-level officials and representatives of the concerned departments attended the meeting.
