Dumraon :On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on 02 October 2026, the State Government has taken a decision to release convicted prisoners confined in various jails by granting them remission as a one-time measure.
In pursuance of this decision, based on the recommendations received from the District-Level Committee of Buxar district and the decision taken at the meeting of the State-Level Committee to recommend the release of eligible convicted prisoners, 04 (four) convicted prisoners lodged in the Central Jail, Buxar, and 03 (three) convicted prisoners lodged in the Open Jail, Buxar, are being released from prison.
The details are as follows:
- Harivansh Ram, son of Late Saklu Ram, aged 84 years, resident of Sasaram, Rohtas district, Central Jail, Buxar.
- Ramvriksh Koiry, son of Nanhak Singh, aged 93 years, resident of Sasaram, Rohtas district, Central Jail, Buxar.
- Ramashray Koiry, son of Late Sarju Singh, aged 80 years, resident of Sasaram, Rohtas district, Central Jail, Buxar.
- Satyanarayan Ram, son of Late Jawahir Ram, aged 83 years, resident of Sasaram, Rohtas district, Central Jail, Buxar.
- Vishwanath Yadav, son of Baikunth Yadav, aged 73 years, resident of Patna district, Open Jail, Buxar.
- Hansraj Ram alias Hansraj Chamar, son of Ramjas Ram, aged 81 years, resident of West Champaran district, Open Jail, Buxar.
- Balram Singh, son of Bindeshwari Singh, aged 78 years, resident of Saharsa district, Open Jail, Buxar.
