Buxar: A big incident of food poisoning has come to the fore in Ariyaon village of Krishnabrahm police station area on Thursday due to eating contaminated sweets. Nine people from the same family suddenly became seriously ill after complaining of sudden vomiting and diarrhea. All the victims were rushed to Dumraon sub-divisional hospital, where after first aid, doctors have described the condition of all as stable and out of danger for the time being. Sweets were distributed on the occasion of happiness, according to the information received, the relative of Dhaneshwar Singh, a resident of Ariaon had received a son Ratna. He bought two kilograms of sweets (cream sweets and Kalajamun) from ‘Prajapati Mitthan Bhandar’ in Dumraon on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday morning, when the sweets were distributed among the relatives and Patidars, the health of the people started deteriorating as soon as they ate it. Sample sent to Patna After this, the SDM immediately raided the concerned sweet shop. During the investigation, there was a severe lack of cleanliness and hygiene in the shop, as well as the operator could not present the license of FSSAI. Taking action, the administrative team has sent a sample of sweets to Patna for examination and has completely sealed the ‘Prajapati Mitthan Bhandar’ till the report comes. Strict attitude on the hospital system During the hospital inspection, the SDM expressed strong displeasure over the absence of the lab technician and immediately called him and directed him to get the blood sample test done of all the patients.
