Buxar : Special Emphasis on Prompt Resolution of Rural Grievances and Ensuring Benefits of Welfare Schemes Reach Eligible Beneficiaries
A Seva Setu-cum-Panchayat Support Camp was organized today, October 06, 2026, at Nachap Panchayat under Chaugai Block, in the presence of District Magistrate, Buxar, Smt. Sahila.
The primary objective of the Seva Setu-cum-Panchayat Support Camp was to provide the general public of the Panchayat area with information regarding various welfare schemes and government services being implemented by different departments at a single location, ensure prompt resolution of their problems and grievances at the local level, and facilitate direct access to government schemes for eligible beneficiaries.
During the camp, officers and personnel from various departments provided detailed information to the villagers regarding schemes and services related to their respective departments. A large number of villagers participated in the camp and apprised the district administration of their problems and requirements. Applications and complaints related to various public grievances were also submitted by the villagers.
The District Magistrate directly interacted with the villagers present at the camp and listened to their problems with due seriousness. She directed the concerned departmental officers to ensure that all applications and grievances received are disposed of in a lawful, transparent and time-bound manner.
She stated that resolving the problems of the general public is among the top priorities of the district administration. The administration is making continuous efforts to ensure that through Seva Setu Camps-cum-Panchayat-level Support Camps, people do not have to make unnecessary visits to government offices for resolution of their problems.
While directing the officials, the District Magistrate emphasized that the benefits of all welfare schemes being implemented by the government must reach eligible and needy beneficiaries in a transparent manner. Any negligence or unnecessary delay at any level in the implementation of schemes will be viewed seriously.
The District Magistrate encouraged the villagers to obtain information regarding eligibility criteria and required documents for availing the benefits of various government welfare schemes and to submit applications through the concerned department or the camp. She specifically instructed the officers and personnel to create widespread awareness among the villagers about various schemes so that no eligible person is deprived of government facilities due to lack of information.
The District Magistrate also distributed ration cards and house keys to beneficiaries who attended the camp.
During the Seva Setu Camp, the concerned departments received applications and grievances from the public and initiated necessary action. Officers from various departments provided villagers with essential information regarding departmental schemes, services and facilities and explained the procedures required for resolution of their problems.
The initiative of the district administration provided villagers with an opportunity to access information and services related to various departments at a single location and to directly place their problems before the administration.
The District Magistrate stated that organizing such Seva Setu-cum-Panchayat Support Camps at the Panchayat level is a significant step towards establishing better coordination between the administration and the general public and building a transparent bridge between the two. Such camps enable the administration to understand the actual problems and requirements of people at the grassroots level, while also making it easier for the public to get their grievances resolved and avail themselves of the benefits of government schemes.
She directed the officials to understand people’s problems through field visits and public interactions and to work with utmost sensitivity and commitment to ensure that government schemes and administrative services reach the last person in society.
